Google Analytics reporting in your workspace
See how people reach and use your website alongside advertising reports. The Google Analytics connector discovers properties accessible to the Google identity you authorize. Select the GA4 properties relevant to your workspace, then use their saved reports to investigate traffic sources, engagement and configured events.
What you can report on
- Users, sessions and supported engagement metrics from GA4.
- Traffic-source, page, country, device and event reporting where available.
- Supported ecommerce reporting when the property actually collects those events.
Before you begin
- A Google login with access to the intended GA4 properties.
- Analytics connection permission in your workspace.
- GA4 tracking configured on the source website; operator-side Analytics authorization configured.
How to connect Google Analytics
Choose Google Analytics 4
Open Connections → Google Analytics 4 inside the intended workspace.
Authorize your Google identity
Continue through the Google authorization flow using the login with access to the properties. App sign-in does not replace this grant.
Choose the properties
Review the discovered property names and IDs. Select only the websites or apps you need to report on.
Open Analytics after syncing
Save the resource selection and sync. Use the Analytics page to review the selected property, date range and saved report coverage.
Availability and reporting limits
The connection reads GA4 data already collected by your property; it does not install a tracking tag or configure ecommerce events. Privacy controls, event setup and provider reporting availability affect the results.
The Connect link opens the authenticated app. Sign in and choose the intended workspace; provider setup, permissions and plan capacity still apply.
Google Analytics integration FAQs
Can connecting GA4 recover events that were never tracked?
No. Reports depend on events the property collected. Check your website’s measurement setup if expected traffic or ecommerce activity is missing.
Is this the same connection as Google Ads?
No. Google Analytics properties and Google Ads accounts are authorized and selected separately, even when the same Google email has access to both.
